How To Join Poseidon Division

Sea Cadets Are Ages 13-18
Navy League Cadets are ages 10-13.

1. Please fill out the Contact POSEIDON form on the website.

2. POSEIDON Division will then send you information on when we meet next.

3. The prospective cadet and a parent (or legal guardian) must both attend an introductory meeting that lasts 30-45 minutes. These meetings are held on the mornings of our drill weekends.

4. The prospective cadet is welcome to spend the day with us (bring a bag lunch, water. Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing). This gives him/her an opportunity to observe what we do. Typically, we drill the second week-end of each month at Twin Cities Aviation Hangar at Janes Field at the Anoka-Blaine Airport off Hwy 35W and Hwy 10.

5. At the end of the day we will send an application package home with you. It must be carefully completed. It requires a doctor’s physical evaluation (similar to a sports physical for high school), and you need to provide information that includes immunizations, health insurance, and social security number.

6. Bring the completed package back on the next drill weekend, along with payment. The enrollment fee is $250, which primarily covers administrative processing and uniform rentals. We provide Navy uniforms for you to wear as a cadet, and we replace them as you continue to grow. They are rented however, and must be returned when you leave the program. We give the cadet a Division T-shirt and ball cap. (these are yours to keep after you leave the program).

7. The renewal fee for each additional year is $140.00. Compared to most other youth organizations, we are very affordable and within the means of most interested and qualified applicants. This is because we rely heavily on adult volunteers, fundraising and donations. Please Click Contact POSEIDON to have someone contact you regarding further information or to schedule an appointment for a breifing.
